Located between Kalgoorlie and Leonora, Menzies is a pastoral and mining shire spanning 125,000km² through to the South Australian border.

In its mining heyday, Menzies was the hub of the ‘North Coolgardie Goldfields’, however despite a railway providing a vital means of transportation, the town’s population would soon decline.

The pastoral industry garnered momentum, and by the early 21st century, mining was once again providing economic support for the local community.
