Create your own unique brooch using polymer clay, felting and repurposed jewellery.
Join us at ‘Black Crow Studios’ for a masterclass with visiting Perth Artist, Sharon Peterkin.
We’ll have tea, coffee and some snacks to enjoy your learning experience. Feel free to bring your favourite, lunch or a plate to share. Golden Mile Art has sponsored the cost of all tickets to our community with the support of the city of Kalgoorlie-Boulder.
Here’s a little message from Sharon about what to expect.
During this unique ALL DAY workshop…I’ll be showing you how to create your own unique shape brooch using polymer clay.
We’ll then each felt our pieces from a choice of gorgeous wintery colours.
While that’s drying, I’ll show you how I repurpose jewellery that I have collected from op shops into a gorgeous unique hand made piece that can either be framed or worn with your pashmina shawl during winter.
I have sourced some great quality brooch clips, which we will sew onto the back so they can be worn.
•MOST materials will be supplied.
• Please bring scissors
– A beading needle,
– Jewellery pliers if you have them,
– A selection of repurposed jewellery from your own collection or the op shop. (I will also have my own personal collection for people to choose from).
– If you have a head lamp or sewing lamp, bring that along for better light.
– Bring your best spectacles to thread the needles.
