How we can strengthen our community? Could it be by working together?
This breakfast presentation by Peter Kenyon, focuses on the idea that Local Governments / Leaders should move away from ‘serving; the community and more towards ‘strengthening’ the community.
How do we move away from doing things ‘to’ and ‘for’ community members and doing things with them instead?
We’ll discuss the benefits of creating space ‘for and by the community’, and how to encourage local residents to become active contributors and participants, as opposed to just consumers, customers and clients.
