The Honey Eaters - Amok Island Ravensthorpe

Description

‘The Honey Eaters’ showcases the natural beauty our land has to offer, and at 100m long will be hard to miss!

The Shire of Ravensthorpe recently became home to “The Honey Eaters” – an impressive largescale public artwork painted by Amok Island, which spans the portion of RNO/FQML’s conveyor overpass that reaches across the South Coast Highway. Watch “The Honey Eaters” come to life in this short film by Peacock Visuals, documenting Amok Island’s two-week-long process and final installation of the work on a long, hot day.

The overpass itself is a critical piece of infrastructure for the future of Ravensthorpe Nickel Operations and takes them one step closer to the opening of their new Shoemaker-Levy mine.
