To discover the hardships of life in the Goldfields during the goldrush days, head to the Menzies Cemetery.
Although it hasn’t been used for burials since 1939, Menzies Cemetery was one of the larger cemeteries in the region.
Now it provides an interesting and historical record of the pioneers and their families who lived in and around Menzies.
Wondering through the Cemetery, you’ll see a number of tin and iron headstones, with a list of the known burials located in a box in the rotunda.
