In 1896, Leonora was a small settlement of hessian and timber shacks. Within a few years, the growing town boasted many of the buildings on the Leonora Heritage Trail.
Embark on a tour of thirty (30) of Leonora’s historical sites and gain an insight into the thriving town that grew from the resourcefulness of early gold prospectors and miners, and the tenacity of pioneering pastoralists.
The trail is 1.6km, takes approximately one (1) hour to complete and starts at the Leonora Information Centre.
This is a great way to immerse yourself into our Leonora history.
