Experience the rugged outback with an adventure on the John Holland Track.
Back in the 1890s at the age of 37, John Holland accepted a challenge to travel the most direct route from Broomehill to Gnarlbine Rock in Coolgardie, a distance of 500km. John set off with his small team and cut the track in just 65 days. This was done back in the day slowly by horse and wagon.
Retrace the steps of a Pioneer as you drive along the well-signed tracks, stopping to read the interpretive panels for the points of interest.
Parts of this track can only be conquered in a 4WD, so it’s essential to map out your journey before you travel.
