Description
This sculpture features the Hermon (a composite of a Herring and a Salmon), part of the Cannery logo, and is a reference to building’s history as a fish cannery.
This Sculpture was created by Cannery Arts Centre members for the 2014 Larger than Life Community Sculpture Competition organised by Esperance Community Arts.
It won first place in the judges’ awards.
The sculpture is now displayed in the entrance to the Cannery Arts Centre’s main gallery and has since been adapted to become a giant money box to assist with fundraising.
