Located at the bottom end of Kalgoorlie’s main street, Centennial Park boasts plenty of space for family activities, working out, or catching up with friends.
The park has a large shaded children’s playground and a Soundshell which hosts many community events throughout the year.
You can often catch a food or coffee van in the carpark, or use the public barbecue facilities, toilets and water bottle filling station.
The park also offers a 24-hour RV stop-over for travellers visiting the area.
A Vietnam Veterans Memorial and Kokoda Track Memorial also sit proudly in the park along with a painted flag pole with the Aboriginal flag, flying side by side with the Australian Flag.
Local artist Jason Dimer and students from John Paul College teamed up to create this illustrative and colourful artwork which tells a narrative of the significance of water to the land. This project was part of the City’s Reconciliation Action Plan and unveiled in December 2018.
