Artists draw inspiration from the stunning landscapes of the region stretching along the Canning Stock Route and Gunbarrel Highway, as well as drawing on personal experience and memory of places and country like the clay pans, rock holes such as North Pool and Bowanoo, as well as the local bush foods and wildflowers.
The Tjukurba Gallery workshop space provides artists with professional quality materials, and support from gallery staff to develop professionally through the sales and promotion of their work. The gallery ensures that its artists receive a majority percentage of sale profits. Paintings are all locally produced by Birriliburu artists, custodians of the country we operate on, and the clan of Martu people specific to this region.
All artworks are for sale and come with a Certificate of Authenticity.
The Tjukurba Art Gallery, Visitors Centre and Canning-Gunbarrel Discovery Centre are located in the same building.
