Description
The Protest is a bronze sculpture located in the walkway in front of Council Chambers and is part of the Shire Art Collection.
Designed and created by Esperance based artist Chris Siemer is was the winner of the Cannery Arts Centre 1992 Arts Awards Open Section.
Chris Siemer has lived in Esperance since 1956 and has had a lifelong interest in art, graduating with a Diploma in Art and Design in 1991 from the Claremont School of Art in Perth.
In 1992 Chris built a studio where he incorporated a foundry for art castings and his interest in bronze sculpting developed.
