No trip to Kalgoorlie-Boulder is complete without a visit to the iconic KCGM Super Pit Lookout.
Experience a working mine-site from one of the best viewpoints in the Goldfields, including daily production blasts.
The Super Pit is one of Australia’s largest open-pit gold mines, extending 3.5 kilometres long, 1.5 kilometres wide and 600 metres deep.
Situated on leases totalling 35,000 hectares, KCGM’s operations include not only the Super Pit, but also the Mt Charlotte Underground Mine, and Fimiston and Gidji Processing Plants.
In 2019 KCGM celebrated its 30th anniversary and poured its 50,000th bar of gold, bringing the total produced from the Golden Mile to over 60 million ounces in the 120 years since the lease was first pegged.
KCGM is proudly a residential operation, and our 1,100 employees and businesses partners are part of the Kalgoorlie-Boulder community.
The Super Pit Lookout is open 7 am to 7 pm daily.
KCGM’s daily blasting times are published online at www.superpit.com.au.
