Description
The sea horse had been the symbol of Esperance Primary School for much of its history.
This sculpture was the result of a creative partnership between Esperance based artists Cindy Poole, working with glass and Phil Shelton sculpting.
The significant upgrade to the school created the opportunity for a larger sculpture to be built in a more prominent place, as a welcome and departure marker for students, staff and parents of the School.
The sculpture was commissioned by the Education Department through the Percent for Art Scheme when the school was substantially renewed and was unveiled at the school in June 2018.
The sculpture is located outside the main entrance.
This is site 89 on the Esperance Arts and Culture Trail map.
