Description

Western Australia’s Public Silo Art Trail has transformed country infrastructure into sites of world-class mural art.

Fremantle artist Amok Island’s spent 31 days and used 338 litres of paint to create this impressive mural that focuses on the area’s local wildlife and flowers.

Showcasing the six stages of the Banksia Baxteri’s flowering cycle, the silo’s picture flower buds, to full bloom, to seedpods developing, drying out and opening.

The animals in the artwork are this species’ main pollinators; the Honey Possum and New Holland Honeyeater.
