Did you know Mundrabilla was the first sheep station settled along the Nullarbor in 1872?
Two brothers and another couple traveled 1200 kms from Albany WA to choose grazing land, as the government was giving out land leases of up to 100,000 acres of crown land. The land was harsh and water scarce along their treacherous journey. They eventually however, settled and developed Mundrailla Homestead where the property provided good grazing and water was plentiful.
Mundrabilla Roadhouse offers accommodation options as well as food and bar services.
A garden side terrace is next to the roadhouse, a great spot to take a break from driving.
Mundrabilla is the only stop along the Nullarbor, where you will find the use of renewable energy as the primary source of power.
