Ever wanted to sunbathe with a kangaroo? Well, at Australia’s whitest beach – you probably can!
Lucky Bay is well-known for having kangaroos enjoying the smooth sand and turquoise waters (picture any Australian Tourism campaign, and you’ve probably seen Lucky Bay before without knowing so!).
The beach often tops or sits high on lists of Australia’s best beaches, with its smooth conditions, views of the Recherche Archipelago islands helping give it that high standing.
Well protected from the wind, the bay provides a perfect spot for swimming, snorkelling, diving and fishing.
In 2018, the Lucky Bay Campground received a significant upgrade including a new ablution block, BBQ shelters, increased visitor capacity and more. Lucky Bay and Cape Le Grand campgrounds can also now be booked through the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions’ online campground booking system at https://parkstaybookings.dbca.wa.gov.au
