The Lion’s Lookout offers panoramic views to the east of the town.
It is also where the original headframe from the famous “Bailey’s Reward” goldmine is re-erected.
The lookout is the view Arthur Bayley and William Ford had when they first arrived in the Coolgardie area and discovered gold in 1892.
Imagine the sight in the early years of the gold rush, a network of diggings, tents and pioneer activity; a far cry from the view you see today.
