Historic Burt Street Tour

Historic Burt Street, the main street of Boulder, offers a window into the past, with heritage buildings lining the streets, each with a story to tell.

Walk historic Burt Street on this self-guided tour and see the street from a different perspective; the early 1900s. Admire the architecture, read the stories and marvel at the photos that have been sourced.

In April 2010, a 5.0 magnitude earthquake struck Kalgoorlie-Boulder, devastating a lot of the buildings in Burt Street. The local council and state government spent more than $8 million to restore the buildings and the facades, and several years later the works were completed.

Historic Burt Street is now a hive of activity again, with several cafes, coffee shops and speciality stores lining the street, as well as the iconic Boulder Town Hall, popular pubs and restaurants.
