Nestled inside the Boulder Town Hall is the Goldfields War Museum and City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Local History Archives.

The newly redeveloped museum opened in January 2019 brings together an intriguing collection of artifacts, documents, military equipment and uniforms to present captivating and heartbreaking stories of Goldfields men and women fighting in the armed forces and on the home-front. A Heritage Officer is available to help you uncover your families Goldfields military history connection.

You can continue the history lesson through to the Historical Archives, where a wide collection of historical books, microfiche reels and various documents are open for visitors to browse.

The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Local History Archives occupies the former civic offices of the town hall and contains a wealth of exceptional research records. An on-site historian and archivist is available to help you research your Goldfields connections and uncover exciting aspects of local history.
