Description

HISTORY – CATTLE STATION – CARAVAN PARK – ACCOMMODATION – STATION STAY – MEALS – STATION TOURS – BUSH WALKS

Fraser Range was originally founded by John and Alexander Forrest on his expedition from Perth to Adelaide in 1870. The property was, however, settled by the Dempster Brothers in 1872, making Fraser Range the first sheep station to be established on the Nullarbor Plain. Surrounded by Crown Land, the station stretches 160km North and 25 km wide – 500,000 acres.

The park is peaceful, surrounded by nature and has breathtaking views from the range.  Grey kangaroos and rock wallabies regularly visit the park and emus are daily visitors.

Station Tours are offered; a morning tour and a sunset tour. Learn about how the Station runs, some historical points of interest and spot the wildlife while enjoying the beautiful scenery.

In your own time discover Fraser Range by foot. Maps are available from the office so you can complete the Bush Walks at your own leisure.

There is a large variety of accommodation with something to suit everyone’s taste and budget.

The caravan park has both powered and unpowered sites, BBQ’s, 24 hours fully equipped camp kitchen and fireplaces (in season).

If you prefer to stay in the accommodation you can choose from the historic shearers quarters, en-suite accommodation, self-contained or single en-suite accommodation. Linen is provided and pet-friendly rooms are available.

A two-course home-cooked meal is served each night in the dining room and you can enjoy your dinner with a drink from the fully licensed Nullarbor.

Visit the website for more information and enjoy the ‘Oasis in the Desert’.
